Vintage Franklin started as a hobby for local graphic designer Kirk Johnson and has now grown into a “kind-of-semi-full-time” wholesale and online business.
Our goal is to sell a few posters and vintage t-shirts to folks who love Franklin and Nashville as much as we do, and to give away some of the proceeds to local charities, non-profits and families.
Meet Kirk Johnson
I grew up in Louisville, KY and moved to Brentwood, TN as a teenager with my family in 1992. I left Brentwood in the fall of 1995 to attend The University of Illinois on a football scholarship (you can scroll down to check out my “highlights” video below). While at Illinois I met my wife Rebecca (who is from Chicago) and begged her to move down to Franklin with me.
We moved down in 2002 and have lived here ever since. We have 3 girls (Logan, Lilly and Josie) and a little boy (Isaac) and love raising our family in Franklin. We eat out way more than we should, we sleep way less than we’d like and live in absolute terror of a future with three teenage girls in one house.
For my full-time gig I run Nashville web design studio 323 Design where I design logos, print materials, websites and do some marketing/advertising consulting for local Nashville area businesses.
